Tabon, Bislig City – Tabon M. Estrella National High School (TMENHS) launched the first Creative Digital Design facility in Caraga Region under the Shared Service Facility (SSF) program of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) on June 8, 2016 in TMENHS Waray-waray Campus, Tabon, Bislig City.
The DTI-Surigao del Sur (DTI-SDS) formally turned-over the management of the project and granted the cooperator the use and possession of the facility through a Usufruct Agreement. The parties also signed a Memorandum of Agreement defining their duties and responsibilities under the project.
DTI-SDS Officer in Charge, Mr.Romel M. He also challenged the cooperator to make use of the SSF as vehicle to support the emerging tourism industry in the city.
In her response, Dr. Josita B. Carmen, Schools Division Superintendent, Bislig City Division, expressed gratitude for DTI’s continued trust in them as a partner in development efforts. She gave an assurance that TMENHS would take extra steps to achieve the objectives of the SSF program. It can be recalled that TMENHS was also one of the beneficiaries of the PC for Public Schools (PCPS) project implemented by DTI more than ten years back.

Dumaran-Buray, Ph.D., OIC-School Principal, accepted the SSF for Creative Digital Design composed of 11 units high-end desktop computers, 1 unit DSLR camera, 1 unit high resolution printer and 1 LCP projector. The school also prides itself of having produced students who are NC II certified by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.
The Creative Digital Design shared service facility is the second SSF project launched by the Department of Trade and Industry-Surigao del Sur in 2016.
